Artist who combines Japanese Painting, Indian themes to have Solo Exhibition in S.F.

Noted Indian artist Madhu Jain will hold a solo exhibition at the Kalart gallery...San Francisco. The exhibition is being presented as one of the cultural events commemorating the 150th anniversary of Japan US relations in cooperation with the Consulate General of Japan in San Francisco. A professional artist in India for more than 35 years, ....utilizing traditional Japanese materials such as washi, over 10 years , she has produced numerous nihonga based on native themes from India.

Her works have been displayed at Japan's famous artwork competition, Nikaten, and she has held many successful showings throughout the country. She also staged a successful exhibit in Singapore in 2002.
